Thomas J. Butters

Tom is a partner at the law firm of Butters Brazilian LLP. He is a trial lawyer who has represented large and small companies, including developers, travel companies, construction companies, and many other businesses in the federal and state courts, as well as in many arbitration proceedings. He also represents individuals and companies in federal and state criminal investigations, trials and appeals. He has defended tax fraud, healthcare fraud, bank fraud and business fraud; as well as drug trafficking, racketeering and murder cases. Tom began his career in Boston in 1974 at Moulton, Looney, Mazzone, Falk & Markham where he became partner. From 1976-1979 he was an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County. Tom has practiced law ever since as a partner at several different firms until Butters Brazilian LLP was formed in 1997. Tom is a graduate of Butler University (B.S.) and Georgetown University (J.D).
