In October 2020, KIC Utah completed ground-up construction of “Ascent 1791” a 20-unit luxury apartment building in Park City, Utah. Ascent 1791 is comprised of 13 one-bedroom units, 6 two-bedroom units, and a three-bedroom “penthouse” unit. The building was designed by Elliott Workgroup and built by R&O Construction. The building features nearly 20,000 square feet of living and amenity space. Residents enjoy subterranean parking with EV charging, ski lockers, an outdoor fire pit, and a resident lounge. Additional on-site storage options are also available.
This green project achieved LEED Gold certification, with solar panels, efficient mechanical and electrical systems, and an innovative Cross Laminated Timber system, a first for Utah. Additionally, the project was designed to incorporate walkability and quality of life, with close proximity to free bus transportation and a direct connection to the historic “Rail Trail” system.
